Beautiful Free Knitting Patterns

by Greg Calloway

In high school, I had a friend who was always knitting. She would knit during class, through lunch, on the ride home and presumably for the remainder of the evening. As classic youths, my chums and I would always provoke Danielle, calling her “granny” and joking about her old age. But she would always just brush it off, grin and go on with her knitting.

One day, Danielle offered me a ride home from school. We got to chatting about family and grandparents, and she informed me that her granny was the one that introduced her to knitting .She spoke so adoringly of her gramps who had died simply a year before. She told me about how knitting was so crucial to her granny and how she wished to carry on the craft in her respect. Danielle told me all about how impressed her gramps was when she introduced her to free knitting patterns. Her grandma was blown away that she could get free knitting patterns, baby patterns, and free loom knitting patterns with just the click of a button.

Danielle spent four weekends straight with her grandma, learning the fine details of knitting and outs of knitting and watching her granny at work. Her granny grew sick during that time and told Danielle that she wouldn’t be in a position to use her hands for knitting much anymore. Wanting to show her gramps how much she had learned, Danielle scoured the web for a free knitting patterns for slippers so that her gramps may be more comfortable round the house. Danielle spent weeks slowly knitting the slippers, hoping they would come out completely. She presented the slippers to her grandma when she finished, and her grandma cried. She claimed it was the perfect gift.

Danielle lost her granny many months later, but she continues to spend hours online having a look at straightforward and free knitting patterns. She continues to spend her faculty days knitting, and she always smiles when she sees a pattern for knitted slippers.
