Wool Knitting Patterns
If you are into arts and crafts, then the chances are that you are into Knitting. As a knitter, it is imperative to use good Wool Knitting Patterns otherwise your time and effort could be completely wasted. The patterns are only a part of what you will need as you will need to consider the type, color, and texture of the wool you are using to knit with as well.
I remember when I was growing up my mother always had a set of knitting needles in her hands making my sister and I some fantastic creations to keep us warm throughout winter. She would sit in front of the television on the rare occasion that she was not working and spend her time making us jumpers. Mum was never the most creative of knitters but she certainly knew how to make a nice stylish jumper. My sister and I always looked smart and were never cold.
Of course if you are a knitter then you would know that you can make all sorts of things other than jumpers. You can make cardigans, slippers, mittens and even woolen dolls. My grandmother had a few of those dolls around her house and she had them for many years. When my daughter was born my grandmother made a woolen doll for my daughter and she loved it. And so did my wife and I. My daughter could suck on it, drag it around the house and get it as dirty as she possibly could. My wife and I could then just throw it into the wash and the doll was as good as new.
Now when you are choosing your wool keep in mind that there are more than just one breed of animal to provide the yarn. You might find some people are allergic so consider alternatives to sheep wool, like maybe Alpaca or Angora Goats. Each animal has a wool of a different texture and thickness which will add to the beauty of your creations.
Make sure before you start, unless you are an expert, to get hold of some good Wool Knitting Patterns. Follow them closely and you will create some fantastic winter products and you will look smart as well as stay warm.
